The Umbrella 2009 website is now up and running with comprehensive details about this major event. It brings together CILIP's members every two years to discuss issues of direct relevance and importance to their professional lives. Based on feedback from the previous event, a number of new features are planned for Umbrella 2009.
- The event takes up just two full days - so delegates spend less time away from work
- It is being moved to mid-week - so delegates do not have to give up their weekend
- Two full conference days will deliver a choice of 54 seminar sessions - the same as in 2007
- The Umbrella Exhibition will be open throughout the conference - it will be the venue for all refreshments
- Director of Studies for the 2009 programme is Ian Snowley, Head of Education at the British Library, and CILIP's Immediate Past President
Approaches are currently being made to previous sponsors and exhibitors. Further details are available on the website or via conferences@cilip.org.uk. Latest updates about Umbrella 2009 will be posted to this blog shortly
