Music Cataloguing Course in Cambridge

 

The Courses & Education Committee of IAML(UK&Irl) have arranged a music cataloguing course in Cambridge, designed for non-music librarians who find they are now responsible for cataloguing music. Among much else the course will include:

basic music terminology - how to decipher a score - uniform titles - subject headings - cataloguing CDs.

No previous music experience is necessary but some familiarity with MARC21 is essential.

Trainers: Ann Keith, Christ's College, Cambridge

Anna Pensaert, Pendlebury Music Library, University of Cambridge

Date: Thursday 25th October 2007 9.30 for 10 a.m. - 4.30 p.m.

Venue: Christ's College, Cambridge

Cost: £30.00 to include all materials, coffee, tea & sandwich lunch Number limit of 10 delegates.
