Alan Jeffreys Award - call for nominations

CILIP’s Cataloguing & Indexing Group (CIG) invites nominations for the Alan Jeffreys Award.

1. The Alan Jeffreys Award was established by the CIG in memory of its former Chairman, who died in 1994.
2. It is to be awarded to a person or persons who have made a significant contribution to Librarianship within the Group's field of interest, normally during the previous year.
3. The CIG committee will select the recipient from nominations received. Nominees may not participate in the selection process.
4. The Award takes the form of a framed certificate and is made annually.

Nominations should be sent to the Secretary, Ann Chapman, Hon. Sec. CIG,

Policy and Advice Team, UKOLN, University of Bath, Bath, BA2 7AY (a.d.chapman@ukoln.ac.uk) by Monday 3 March 2008. Please include the name and affiliation(s) of the nominee, together with a short indication of why they are being nominated.
