Behind the scenes at the City of London Libraries

You are invited to join us for a "Journey of the Book", a behind-the-scenes look at how we obtain and catalogue books for the City of London public libraries. You will follow a book through the various stages of ordering, accessioning, cataloguing and preparation for the shelf. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask "Why?" as well as "How?"

The tour will take place at the Bibliographical Services Section, City of London Libraries (Lower Ground Floor, Guildhall Library, Aldermanbury, London EC2V 7HH) on Thursday 21st May at 11.30am. It is expected to last about an hour.
