Green Ink

Is a blog just an e-form of vanity publishing?

It's probably because I'm getting older but I tend to think of blogs either as the electronic version of those letters written in green ink sent by deranged or obsessed saddoes, or as the electronic equivalent of "what we did on our holidays" - an evening with the neighbours pretending to be interested in their holiday photographs.

But I may be wrong and I'm always willing to learn - and I've been banging on for ages about the need to develop CILIP as a networking community in cyberspace as well as in the real world.  So here it is: Bob's blog.  It replaces the periodic (sporadic) web bulletin I used to write and I'll try to minimise the green-ink rants or the "what I did on my holidays" tendency.  Let me know what you think of it ...
