Saints shaken

Ah well, it wasn't to be.  We "gave a tremendous performance" (newspaper reporter) and "controlled the game for long periods" (television reporter) but it's the Saints not the Shakers in the hat for the Fifth Round.  We're proud of the lads and let's hope they can now build on their excellent Cup performances - against Leeds, Norwich and Southampton - to climb away from the dreaded drop zone. 

As is traditional (Kipling's If etc), we wish Southampton all the best for the next round while we concentrate on the League.  Stoicism you see - and recognition that, in the final analysis, it's the result not the performance that matters.
