The Oxford Companion to the Book
We’ve just added a new book, very special book to our Information Centre. The Oxford Companion to the Book is a unique work of reference covering the broad concept of the book throughout the world from ancient to modern times. With contributions from CILIP members, including Professor Alistair Black and Dr John Bowman, this beautiful two volume work covers subjects such as:
- Bibliography
- Book collecting
- Censorship
- Distribution
- Editorial theory and practice
- History of the book and the electronic book
- History of printing
- Reading
And, of course, there is comprehensive coverage of librarianship.
