Libraries win Jodi Awards

Leeds Library and Information Service have won the Jodi Award for Digital Access for People with a Learning Disability. They also won the CILIP Libraries Change Lives Award 2009. The project called Across the Board: autism support for families uses software called Boardmaker to create symbol based communication aids and visual support for young people with communication difficulties and their parents...

CILIP in the Guardian today (16 Sept)

Insult or discrimination?

Last week one of the news items in our weekly information world bulletin was a story in the Independent about how Gays, Lesbians and Transgendered people were still suffering discrimination at work. But one of our members never received this bulletin.
