CILIP Trustees are hosting an Open Session on the topic of CILIP and web 2.0. They are keen to explore the potential that social networking offers to membership organisations such as CILIP, and have invited a number of people to participate in person and remotely. The list of ‘official' twitterers at the present is:

Hilary Ely http://twitter.com/janeite
Chris Armstrong http://twitter.com/chrisinwales
Phil Bradley http://twitter.com/Philbradley
Brian Kelly http://twitter.com/briankelly

We often forget that CILIP was an early social networking adopter for a professional association, providing a space where it's members could connect virtually one-to-one. In the time since it was launched in October 2007 things have moved forward somewhat and what seemed new and innovative 18 months ago now seems rather staid. Fortunately we are launching an upgrade at the end of May. Watch this space... literally.
