Delegates gave their seal of approval to CILIP's third RFID in Libraries conference yesterday (13 November) with an overall 95% Good to Excellent rating. Almost 190 attendees packed the QEII Conference Centre in London to hear expert presentations and Case Studies, see a live vidoecast from the US, and quiz suppliers in the Vendors Discussion Forum.
One highlight was the presentation of the first BIC/RFID in Libraries Group Award to Nick Lewis, Head of Library Collections at the University of East Anglia. The Group's chair Martin Palmer presented Nick with the Award for his advocacy of RFID technology, through his oversight of the self-service and automated sorting implementation at the University and his involvement with JISCmail.
More information and pictures from the event will be posted to the RFID in Libraries website shortly.
