2007/8 Timetable:

 

1 September 2007 - nominations open

26 October 2007 - nominations close

9 November 2007 - nominations announced

18 April 2008 - shortlists announced

26 June 2008 - Awards ceremony. Winners announcement made at 12.30pm

 

Writing reviews:

Reviews do not automatically appear on the Shadowing website, each review needs to be checked and OKed by the group leader. Steps to write a review:

1.       On the Shadowing website the group member selects Post a Review in the top right of the page

2.       They search for their group by its name - either by a word search or alphabetical list

3.       They select their group, select the book, enter their first name and write the review

4.       You then need to log in via the Librarians and Teachers area of the site

5.       In the first blue box, called 'Your Group's Reviews', you will see how many reviews need to be checked and how many are live

6.       You can then check, and where necessary edit or delete reviews before OKing them

7.       In the same way, you can edit or delete reviews that you have previously OKed

Updating your details on the website:

 

Once you have a profile on the Shadowing website you can update your contact details (name, address, email, telephone, number in your group, Medals you are Shadowing) by logging in via the Librarians and Teachers area of the site. Log in, scroll down and at the bottom of the second blue box (Your Group's Details) select 'edit your details'

 

Publicity materials:

We produce a pack of publicity materials, which includes posters with details of the shortlist, stickers and bookmarks. These will automatically be posted to every registered shadowing group shortly after 18 April. The materials are free. We will also have publicity downloads (bookmarks, certificates and membership cards) available on the downloads page of the website. If you would like more publicity materials please email your request to ckg@cilip.org.uk – don’t forget to include your name and address.

Book supply:

Here at CILIP we do not supply shortlisted books. Public libraries and schools library services will often provide loan copies of the books - contact them well in advance to see if they can help. If you are looking to purchase the shortlisted books we recommend using Peters Bookselling Services, the official supplier for the Shadowing scheme.
